ACCESSIBILITY & PERFORMANCE · RELEASE 01
Learning should work for more people, on more devices.
Accessibility and speed are release requirements for STEM Nodes. This record explains what is checked now and where continuing human testing still matters.
✓ CURRENT EXPERIENCE GATES PASSRELEASE COVERAGE
What this pass protects
These checks are repeated by code-level release gates and representative live-browser journeys before publication.
Keyboard learning
Number keys select answers, Enter advances the lesson, and every interactive biology structure is reachable as a real button.
Screen-reader structure
Pages expose a named main area, skip link, navigation labels, current-page state, live feedback and native progress bars.
Responsive layouts
Seven core journeys were checked at 390 × 844 and 1294 × 912 with no horizontal page overflow.
Motion control
The global reduced-motion mode removes decorative animation and shortens transitions without hiding learning content.
Low-bandwidth delivery
Guide portraits, social cards and the shared visual model use compact local WebP assets with no third-party runtime dependency.
Compatibility
The live application was exercised in its Chromium production shell, while automated release gates check standards-based markup, fallbacks and browser-safe assets.
